One normalized data model, built from simple primitives agents understand: records and events, time series, files, shares, and an update summary that says what's new. Every agent runs the same loop — wake up, ask what changed, do the work, write back — and because what's new includes what other agents wrote, the loops interlock: one agent's write-back is the next agent's starting point.
One request returns everything new since your agent last ran — which kinds of records arrived, which files changed, and what other agents wrote — so you never poll source systems. It tracks when data reached Fulcra, not the records' own timestamps, so a nightly job never misses late-arriving data and reads only what moved.
Agents publish results, requests, and status as records and files; other agents discover them through the same update summary and add their own work. What's new includes what every agent sharing the lake wrote — asynchronous coordination through context, without point-to-point plumbing.
The surfaces and semantics are designed to be easy for agents to understand and use: a catalog that says what exists, published schemas that describe every record, and sources and tags that carry provenance. Integrate with a few lines of code — the model reads the same for every user, whatever mix of sources they bring.

Records and files are encrypted at rest, and nothing enters the lake unless you connect, record, or upload it. You can inspect, share, and delete everything stored — agents are clients of the context, never its owners. Fulcra carries the security burden; you keep ownership and control.
Letting an agent — or another person — into your context is a two-way door. Direct shares grant access to selected data types or files while you keep ownership; groups fix their data types and date range before anyone joins, and members keep their own datastores until they leave.
